Holy Trinity C of E Primary School

Sports Premium

Please find attached a document on how we plan to spend our Sports Premium money.

Our sports premium money is being spent on up-skilling teachers so they become more confident and better at delivering high quality physical education lessons for all. They are being developed through working with Coach Elliot who is a specialist p.e. teacher. Find out more about Coach Elliot by going to Funda Website
•The government has announced new funding for school sport and PE worth £150m a year for the next two years.

At Holy Trinity VC CofE Primary School we are using our funding to:
•Employ a Specialist PE Teacher to develop our provision of curriculum PE, extra-curricular activities, intra and inter competition and to help with staff training and team teaching across both key stages.
•Develop our teachers to deliver PE with confidence (utilising our Dep CiC) and to improve their skills in a wide range of sports through sourcing specific training.

Holy Trinity is part of a cluster of schools that have formulated themselves into a Community Interest Company CiC: it is our intention to use the sports premium in each school to skill up all staff through each others school. As a company we negotiated a far better deal with our total funding, which enabled us to make cost-cutting savings. resulting in each school having funds let to buy resources and extra training. allowing

•Work within our local cluster, alongside our specialist PE teacher, to devise new competitions and to share good practice, facilities and resources.
•Continue our commitment to school competition by entering competitions organised within the Blackburn with Darwen Borough. This means there will be more competitions for all children both in Key Stage 1 and 2.
