Important Reminders!!!

Behaviour

dojoIn Holy Trinity, we use Class Dojo to encourage positive behaviours. In short, Class Dojo gives out points for behaviours we like to see (sharing, being kind, using good manners etc). Children can build these dojo's up and receive certificates and rewards for their great effort.
All parents are provided with a unique login, specific to their child. If you have not yet received yours and would like to, please speak to Mrs Rice.
Furthermore, we like to use the 'class story' blog, to keep parents up to date with daily activities, learning and crazy antics we are involved in through posts and photographs. Check it out! It's great fun!

Outdoor Clothes

RubyWe go outside because at the back of school we are priviledged to have an area that the children just love to play in. It is really good for their physical development and they slip, slide and fall over, usually getting muddy with a big smile on their faces! Just wait to you see some of the pictures we'll put up here. Thank you to all the parents who have already brought in old outdoor clothes for your child. As you all know, we have Forest School sessions every Wednesday (see our Forest Fun page)! Even if the weather is cold or wet, we still go out, so it is important all children have plenty to wear!
Warm trousers, t-shirts, jumpers, wellies or boots, thick socks, waterproof coat, gloves, hats and scarfs!!!
If you have not already, then please do so as soon as possible.

Book Bags

bbPlease remember to bring book bags to school every day. Can you ensure these are the school book bags (seen pictured), as these protect our school books and ensure things are not damaged or lost (Holy Trinity ones can be purchased from the office for £4, alternatively, you can pick them up from super markets with no logo).
Please can you write in or initial the reading record so I know your child has be read to at home.
It is important you check your child's book bag each night, as we use their bags as a way to let you know what's going on too (newsletters, events happening in school, progress, accident notes etc).

Homework

Homework is sent home each Friday to be completed over the weekend.
The aim of the home'work' is to encourage your child to TALK! A range of spot the differences, Where's Wallys (and similar) and jigsaw styled activities will be sent home for you to complete with your child.
The more you model talking during these activities, the more confident and skilled your child will be at talking.
In addition to these, reading books and phonics homework will be sent regular. It is important to keep on top of this learning as it will help your child reach their potential.
