E-Safety

E-Safety

Technology is changing at a fast pace. The Internet has opened up a whole new world. Whilst it brings with it many benefits, it also brings its dangers.

We have a responsibility as educators and parents to raise children's awareness of the benefits and dangers of the online world.

In school, we teach this during PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) and Computing lessons.

Progression of knowledge, skills and understanding in E-Safety

We use a variety of resources to teach this topic. Some of the most useful are:

EYFS and KS1

Smartie

KS2

Smart Crew

Safer Internet Day

On Tuesday 7th February we spent the day celebrating Safer Internet Day in school. We learnt about how to stay safe online, who to ask for help, what we should do if we do not feel safe and discussed out digital footprint and created a digital photo album.

It was a very successful day which again highlighted how important it is to stay safe online.
